Battery, the worst enemy of portable vaporizers?

Like most electronic devices available on the market, dry herb vaporizers are equipped with Lithium-Ion batteries. These essential batteries present in our laptops, smartphones, etc., make it possible to have a nomad use of your vaporizer. You can now live wherever you want. But unfortunately, these batteries are often too weak and can only perform 6 or 7 sessions of 15 minutes. Indeed, heating a component to over 200°C in a few seconds requires a large amount of energy. Even though technology is advancing day by day, no one has yet found the solution for batteries that would allow hours or even days of sessions.

Explanation: How Lithium-Ion batteries work?

Lithium is originally a metal. Like all elements and materials, it is composed of electrons and protons, but with a specificity; electrons can easily be transformed into Ion, hence the name Lithium-Ion. The principle of operation is a little complicated for us who are not crazy scientists, but here is a small summary explanation..:

The batteries are composed of a cathode, and an anode. After charging, the anode contains a relatively large accumulation of lithium ion. When the battery connects to a device it has to power, it creates a potential difference that causes all these small particles to move. The electrons are sent to all the components of the device, which will turn it on and thus make it work. The Ions will flee towards the Cathode because they are attracted by the negative charges of the electrons.

It happens more or less the opposite phenomenon when the battery is recharged. Ions recharge in the anode and electrons in the cathode and so on. It is of course a scientific popularization to summarize the phenomenon.

So here’s how our dear portable vaporizers are powered!

Tips for using your vaporizer

In recent years, dry herb vaporizers have become indispensable accessories for consumers of therapeutic plants. Indeed, thanks to technological advances, vaporizers are today more and more portable and affordable. We’ve written this article to help you use your favorite vaporizer and make the most of its capabilities.

1 – Use fresh grass:

The quality of the vaporizer plays a big role, but your experience depends mostly on the quality of your herb. The principle of vaporization (explained on the home page of our site) consists in heating the plant to transform the humidity of this one into vapor, by carrying the active substances at the same time.

You must have understood it, it is better to use a grass still wet rather than a grass too dry in order to make the most of the vaporization.

There must therefore be a balance between a grass that is too dry or too wet. To ensure the freshness of your grass, the branches should be brittle, but the grass should not turn into powder when you handle it between your fingers.

2 – Grind your herb well and do not compact it too much

Once you are sure that your grass is fresh enough to be used, it is advisable to crumble it as much as possible. Indeed, grind your herb allows the heat to be better distributed and to better penetrate your favorite grass. You can use scissors, but we strongly recommend the use of a grinder: it will guarantee you a uniform crumbling and a good quality.

Once your herb crumbles, you will fill the weed vaporizer chamber with it. Make sure you don’t pack it too hard! Otherwise, the heat will not be evenly distributed in the room and you may waste grass unnecessarily. It is therefore advisable to pack slightly, but without insisting too much.

3 – Monitor temperature to avoid combustion

The heating temperature is the most important element to make the most of your favorite vaporizer. With experience, you will find yourself the ideal temperature for your vaporizer. Here are some tips to get started.

Generally, the temperature should be between 180°C and 220°C. Never exceed 220°C, otherwise combustion may occur. Here are some optimal temperatures for the vaporization of certain molecules, in order to choose your temperature according to your desires:

THC 157 °C/315 °F
CBD 180 °C/356 °F

It should also be added that the heating temperature has a major influence on the effects felt. Lower temperatures will tend to give you higher, more euphoric effects. On the other hand, a high temperature leads to stonier effects and a more intense feeling of relaxation.

A bit of history

Despite the current widespread criticism of active plant spraying, it would seem that this practice is rooted in a large number of ancient cultures. Traditionally, vaporization was a way of gathering in ancient cultures. This practice has therefore been recorded in varied geographical spaces and spaced over time. In the past, people gathered around incandescent stones on which seeds and other plants were thrown onto aromatics.
Testimonies of the use of plant spraying for therapeutic use are recorded in China, India, the Middle East, Egypt, America… In short, all over the world. In some cases, the use of these plants was reserved to the Shaman: it was a means of communication with their god.

It was not until much later that spraying became simply a recreational activity. Indeed, in 1970 the first studies for the design of a modern vaporizer appear. Named Tilt, this vaporizer was created in the early 1980s. It was a home vaporizer: rechargeable batteries did not exist at the time!

Tilt, the firt vaporizer

According to its creator (American company based in Woodstock…), Tilt made it possible to greatly reduce the level of toxin contained in traditionally smoked plants such as tobacco. The principle was similar to the current salon vaporizer. All you had to do was place your grass on a grid on a heating element. A glass pipe was used to suck the steam thus created. The American company in charge of developing this innovation even commissioned a large number of studies to quantify the results of toxin production reduction. Despite more than conclusive results, this model was never commercialized. It was seen as a utensil dedicated to cannabis and this plant was completely illegal in the United States unlike today.

The recent legalization of this plant in several American states and other countries has therefore advanced research and understanding in the field of vaporization.

Beginner’s Guide

The basics to know about vaporization :

Today, a big awareness is emerging on the dangers related to the consumption of tobacco and cannabis in the form of a joint. Indeed, many smokers turn to healthier solutions: vaporization.

Spraying has become very common today. There are even “no vaping” signs and “no smoking” signs. However, these appliances are safe for your health, since they do not generate any combustion.

You can therefore find an abundance of different products on the market that will allow you to vaping your herbs, your liquids, your oils and much more. For beginners, this abundance of product can be a bit destabilizing. We have created this site to help all smokers to find their way around, and thus enable them to acquire the best dry herb vaporiser.

no vaping

You can therefore vaping these different substances:

E-liquid vaporizer:

These are the most popular vape. Many smokers have made the choice to switch to vaporization to avoid deteriorating their health. Nicotine for vape comes in the form of liquid, which you reload in your e-cigarette. You can choose the dose of nicotine present in the liquid according to your habits, and the number of cigarettes you smoked before. You can also choose the taste of your liquid. There is an impressive amount of different taste to satisfy all consumers.

THC vaporizer:

THC: Tetrahydrocannabinol. It is the most important active cannabis molecule, one of the most smoked plants in the world. The maximum THC level in cannabis is 25%. It is important to emphasize that this molecule is banned and classified as a narcotic in many countries. To vaporize your THC, you will need a dry herb vaporizer. Do not hesitate to consult our reviews to find the best herb vaporizer adapted to your needs.

CBD vaporiser:

CBD : Cannabidiol. It is another molecule present in cannabis, but in smaller quantities. This is the molecule used in the medical and therapeutic use of cannabis. As a percentage, it is found between 0.1% and 3% in cannabis. CBD has many pharmacological and therapeutic properties. It is useful against insomnia, nausea, depression, can restore appetite and smile. He is even studying in cancer treatment. CBD can vaporize in suitable vaporizers. Most dry herb sprayers have a compartment for oils and resin, as on this model: Crater 420 mini. You can buy your CDB oil here.
